A man accused of using a baseball bat to commit a robbery last month was indicted Friday by the Christian County grand jury.
The true bill for second-degree assault and second-degree robbery was returned against 23-year old Christopher Daniel of Crofton.
As previously reported, Christian County sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance between two men who know each other on Old Madisonville Road and investigation determined Daniel had allegedly struck the victim with a bat and took his wallet, keys and vehicle.
Daniel was arrested a few days later on Glass Avenue in Hopkinsville.
Indictments for second-degree assault were returned against 55-year old John Buckner and 27-year old Jacorie Buckner of Hopkinsville. The father and son were reportedly in an argument over a car radio at a residence on Butler Road in early January when they allegedly cut each other with a machete.
The grand jury ordered Damarion Watson to be released from custody after returning a no true bill to burglary charges that had been brought against him, with jurors determining there was insufficient evidence in the case to proceed.
