Princeton’s Emma Talley fired a three over 76 and missed the cut at the LPGA Tour’s ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open. Inbee Park and Jodi Ewart Shadoff share the lead at 10 under par.

Matt Kuchar is atop the leaderboard after the first round of the Genesis Invitational. He carded a seven-under 64 Thursday at Riviera Country Club, good for a three-shot lead over five others. Tiger Woods started out hot before cooling off on the back nine and finishing with a two-under 69 which puts him in a tie for 17th with Campbellsville native JB Holmes. Louisville area native Justin Thomas is tied for 97th at three over par.

Franklin’s Kenny Perry is in the field for the PGA Tour Champions Chubb Classic which begins today in Naples, FL. Miguel Angel Jimenez is the defending champion. This will also be the first PGA Tour Champions event for Tim “Lumpy” Herron.
