Hopkinsville police are investigating after a woman reported being choked and assaulted at a West Seventh Street home Tuesday morning.
The 36-year old female victim told police that the perpetrator beat her in the face with a gun and choked her during a disturbance in the 1500 block of West Seventh.
No arrests have been made and the incident is being investigated as felony assault and strangulation.
