Hoppers announce first players for 2020 roster

The Hoptown Hoppers have released the first 10 players for the 2020 roster. They are as follows:

Gerardo Sepulveda is a redshirt sophomore catcher for Ranger Junior College. His hometown is Laredo, Texas.

Robert Sproul is a redshirt freshman outfielder for Bellarmine University. His hometown is Louisville, Kentucky.

Dawson Barnes is a freshman outfielder for Young Harris College. His hometown is Gray, Georgia.

Omar Danals is a freshman infielder for Georgia Highlands College His hometown is Lawrenceville, Georgia. He plays under assistant coach Brock Moss (2017 head coach of the Hoppers) .

John Carpinelli is a junior infielder for the University of Indianapolis. He is from Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Barkley “Scooter” Ray is a sophomore catcher/utility for Lincoln Memorial University. His hometown is Chesterfield, Virginia.

Kevin Black is a freshman southpaw pitcher and outfielder for Wharton Junior College. He is from Bellville, Texas. His head coach at Wharton is former 2015-16 Hoppers skipper Trey Porras.

Ben Huber is a sophomore left handed pitcher and first baseman for Limestone College. His hometown is Pendleton, South Carolina. Ben is a returning member of the 2019 Ohio Valley League Champion Hoppers.

Noah Kandel is a freshman right handed pitcher for Tiffin University and is from Canton, Ohio.

Jason Boulanger is a sophomore left handed pitcher for Rend Lake College. His hometown is Rockwood, Ontario, Canada.

The defending Ohio Valley League champions will open the season May 29th against the Fulton Railroaders at Christian County High’s Colonel Field.
