Volunteers are being sought to visit residents of area nursing homes who may not otherwise see anyone from outside of the facility.
Cindy Tabor of the Pennyrile Area Development District says they need people willing to go to a facility close to their home and spend about an hour each week with residents.
She says a majority of residents in long-term care homes very seldom if ever receive visitors.
