Two indicted for recent robbery

Two people were indicted Friday by the Christian County Grand Jury for their alleged role in a robbery on West First Street in Hopkinsville.

The indictments for first-degree robbery and unlawful transaction with a minor were returned against 19-year old Tysean Johnson and 18-year old Ahree Carnes of Hopkinsville.

As previously reported, a 17-year old male was also arrested last month and charged with complicity to first-degree robbery.

Hopkinsville police allege the suspects forced their way inside a home in the 600 block of West First, assaulted the 21-year old male victim inside and took marijuana, cash and a handgun.

The grand jury also indicted 42-year old Tamiko McGill and 37-year old Jasmine Alexander of Hopkinsville for second-degree assault, with Alexander also charged with second-degree strangulation.

The original police reports say the suspects who live together were in an argument that became physical.

Alexander allegedly cut McGill on the arm with a knife and McGill allegedly cut Alexander on the hand, causing a severe laceration.
