School board approves calendar revision

As of Thursday evening’s Christian County School Board meeting, the last day of school for students in the district remains May 20.

The board approved a calendar revision for the 2019-20 school year at the meeting. There were three snow days in November, and Director of Pupil Personnel Melanie Barrett says they were able to rearrange professional development days and more to keep the last day of school the same.

A graduation day has not yet been set and the calendar could change further, depending on possible winter weather impacts. The change still meets the requirement of days and hours determined by the Kentucky Department of Education and allows for the last day of school to be before Memorial Day weekend.
