Guthrie police make arrest for burglary, theft

Guthrie police have arrested a man accused of entering a business and stealing cash.

An arrest warrant for 19-year old Devan Tanksley of Clarksville says he was captured on video surveillance entering Tommy’s Quality Used Cars on January 31. He allegedly unlocked a lock box and removed two envelopes containing over $1,500 in cash.

Tanksley then hid the envelopes on his person and left, according to the warrant.

Police say Tanksley did not have permission to be in the office.

He was charged with third-degree burglary and felony theft by unlawful taking.
