Valentines and those who just love sweets will soon get the chance to enjoy homemade treats, as the Hopkinsville Art Guild once again hosts the annual Be My SweetART event.
It will take place Friday, at the art gallery on East Sixth Street, and Anita Cummins with the guild says it will start at 4 p.m. and there will be plenty of chocolates, cakes and more to pack up and take with you.
Tickets are $25 per person, and some tickets are still available—that gets you the treats, live music and more.
At least 25 area food businesses have contributed food donations that attendees can sample and make a goodie box. Jim Garnett will be providing music during the event. The funds raised through the sale of tickets will be used to provide area visual artists opportunities to develop their skills and exhibit their work. They also provide area children with free opportunities to explore creative expression through several events.
