Western Kentucky’s delegation to Washington, D.C. has predictably responded well to the President’s State of the Union address.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell issued a statement reiterating many of the president’s claims from the speech and saying he has been ‘especially proud’ to work with the president over the last three years to ‘transform the federal courts for a generation.’
Meanwhile, Senator Rand Paul tweeted he agrees with the president that it’s time to leave endless wars in the Middle East.
Western Kentucky Congressman James Comer says he shares the president’s “priorities of continuing to create more opportunity for American workers, lowering healthcare costs, and securing our southern border.”
Comer’s guest for the occasion was Trigg County resident Terry Hamby.
I stand with @realDonaldTrump! Let’s bring our troops home! Time to leave the endless wars in the Middle East.

For three years, Republicans in Congress have partnered with the President to keep America strong and safe and create record-setting prosperity for working families across the country. The results have been a truly all-American comeback. The state of our union is strong. pic.twitter.com/RQDdh8u9zo
