University Heights downed Hopkinsville in 8th district action Friday night 70-51 at Tiger Gym. The Blazers used a 20-5 run in the third quarter to break open the contest. University Heights was led in scoring by Amani McGee with 17 points, KJ Crump added 16 with Will Bryan and DJ Quarles each scoring 15. The Blazers are now 11-9 and 4-0 in 8th district play. Hopkinsville was led in scoring by Don Victor with 19 and Javon Smith Rudd added 13 in falling to 9-14 and concluded district play 2-4. The Tigers play at Trigg County Monday night.
