A high speed pursuit Tuesday morning ended with a man sought on multiple warrants.
A Hopkinsville police officer attempted to stop 30-year old Damien Davis of Hopkinsville at the intersection of Walnut and Stanley Street for a traffic violation, but he allegedly took off at a high rate of speed.
Officers were able to track the vehicle down at a Florence Street home and Davis allegedly fled on foot with a large white bag in his hands when he saw police. He was soon captured and the arrest citation says he had discarded the bag.
Several baggies containing marijuana were found nearby.
Davis is charged with DUI, fleeing or evading police, tampering with evidence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was also served with multiple warrants for contempt of court.
