Man arrested on strangulation charge

A Hopkinsville man was arrested late Sunday night on a strangulation charge, in addition to several outstanding warrants.

Hopkinsville police were called to a disturbance at an apartment on Honeysuckle Drive and the female victim said she and 25-year old Raymond Hill had been in a physical altercation.

Hill allegedly put his hands around the victim’s neck, causing redness on her neck and throat, according to the police report.

The victim said Hill also threw an object through a window during the altercation.

Hill was located in the area of Glass Avenue and Evergreen Park Drive and was arrested for first-degree strangulation and third-degree criminal mischief.

He was also served with warrants for contempt of court and non-payment of fines.
