The Hopkinsville Fire Department has wrapped up their annual t-shirt fundraising campaign and donated the proceeds to the local Pink Ribbon Network Thursday.
According to Captain Michael Pendleton, the fundraising is done in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month during October, where the department sells specially designed fire department shirts to benefit the local Pink Ribbon Network.
This year, they donated $1,430 to help the organization that focuses on providing support and other services for cancer survivors in the community.
