Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear will give his first State of the Commonwealth Address to a joint session of the House and Senate Tuesday night in Frankfort.
It will come as the legislature will soon face tough decisions on a biennial budget and Representative Walker Thomas expects the governor to promote expanded gaming and legalizing medical marijuana as ways to create new revenue.
Representative Myron Dossett is hoping Governor Beshear will be committed to fully funding the pension systems.
The governor will have a separate budget address later this month.
Beshear’s State of the Commonwealth speech will air live on Kentucky Educational Television.
