Cameron Smith won the Sony Open in Hawaii in a playoff Sunday. Smith outlasted Brendan Steele, winning by one shot on the first playoff hole at Waialae Country Club. The two finished regulation tied at 11-under par. Webb Simpson came in third at minus-10. Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker tied for 12th at six under par.
