Alabama Birmingham downed Western Kentucky 72-62 at Bartow Arena last night. Tavieon Hollingsworth led the Hilltoppers with 17 points while Franklin native Tavin Lovan had 16 to lead the Blazers. WKU is now 9-6 and plays at Middle Tennessee tomorrow afternoon at 5.
Meanwhile, Western Kentucky’s Lady Toppers defeated UAB 69-65 Thursday afternoon to improve to 9-5 on the season. The Lady Toppers host Middle Tennessee at 2 pm Saturday afternoon.
