Collin Morikawa is atop the leaderboard at the Sony Open in Hawaii. He carded a five-under 65 in Thursday’s first round at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu. Four other golfers are tied two shots off the pace at minus-three. Both Louisville area native Justin Thomas and Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker fired opening round two over 74’s. Play was suspended late in the day and will resume today.
