The Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville will be celebrating its one year anniversary Thursday and is hosting a special event to celebrate.
It will be the Battle of the Brigades, a kickball game between the Hopkinsville Fire and Fort Campbell Fire Departments at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The game is expected to last approximately an hour on the facility’s synthetic turf surface.
Admission to the game is $1, with all proceeds going to the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center. Concessions will be sold and guests will be treated to free desserts.
Hopkinsville Marketing and Events Coordinator Chris Jung says, “We can think of no better way to celebrate this exciting anniversary than to put our facility to use, put some of our tremendous first-responders on display, eat some cake and raise money for a tremendous local charity.”
