Walmart Distribution Center donates $2,000 to MLK Elementary

The Walmart Distribution Center of Hopkinsville has donated $2,000 to Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School.

According to a news release, the donation is part of the Miles for Smiles program, which allows Walmart Transportation drivers to contribute funds to local charities based on safe driving miles. The Walmart Distribution Center drivers and staff completed over 500,000 accident free miles in the last two weeks of December to achieve the opportunity.

General Transportation Manager Stephen Taylor made the check presentation to Principal Carrie Caples and Assistant Principals Arnelle Lynch-Wesley and Neil Hight.
