The first Associated Press rankings of the season find Madisonville ranked seventh in the Boys Top 10 poll with John Hardin ranked first, Male second, Lexington Catholic third, Ashland fourth and Ballard fifth. Bowling Green, Webster County, Murray and Warren Central were among others receiving votes this week.
The AP Girls Top 10 poll has Madisonville ranked seventh with Sacred Heart number one. Others receiving votes included Marshall County, Henderson County and Bowling Green.
