A father and son were arrested for felony assault Friday night after they allegedly got into a fight with weapons.
Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Burgess investigated the incident that happened at a location on Butler Road and the report says 55-year old John Buckner and 27-year old Jacorie Buckner of Hopkinsville were in an argument over a car radio.
Jacorie said his father pulled a machete on him and he was cut on the arm and neck. Neither injury required medical treatment.
John claimed his son pulled a machete and he was cut on the back of the head. He also did not require medical attention.
A witness said Jacorie brought out the machete, but both men had it during the course of the fight.
Both men were arrested for first-degree assault.
