Four injured in early morning crash downtown

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning at East Ninth and South Main Street in Hopkinsville.

It happened about 1:45 a.m. and the report from Hopkinsville police says 29-year old Wesley Houchens of Hopkinsville was southbound on Main and said he had a green light as he reached Ninth.

He struck the side of a westbound car driven by 50-year old Tonya Dillard of Hopkinsville, who also said she had a green light.

Both drivers and two passengers in Houchens’ pickup, 24-year old Chelsea Naasz and 16-year old Candice Dossett of Crofton, were all treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Houchens was cited into court for second-degree wanton endangerment, as a two-year old was riding in his back seat not in a child restraint device.
