Crofton man charged with wanton endangerment

A Crofton man was recently charged with wanton endangerment after he allegedly fired shots that struck a nearby home on Empire Road.

According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to Empire Road on December 27 for reports of shots fired.  Investigation determined that a round had struck a home that had two adults inside at the time of the incident.

Contact was made with 34-year old Justin Owen of Crofton, who allegedly admitted to firing a handgun while under the influence of methamphetamine—the report states that Owen was manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance and alcohol.

No one was injured in the incident.  Owen was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and public intoxication.
