Todd County Coroner Timothy Wells has filed his paperwork seek a different positon in next year’s election—Todd County Clerk.
Wells is currently serving his second term as coroner, and says that by filing to run for the clerk position, he hopes to continue serving the people of Todd County, just in a different capacity.
He says if elected, he would be focused on getting to know the office before seeing if any changes need to be made.
Wells filed to run as a republican, and currently his only opponent is Democrat Cindy O’Bryan, who is currently serving as interim clerk. The winner of next year’s elections will fill out the unexpired term of Leslie Cunningham, who passed away earlier this year.
