Man arrested for burglary, meth possession

Hopkinsville police arrested a man for burglary and drug possession charges following a shoplifting incident at a Dollar General store Sunday night.

Police say 39-year old Deoreo Wilson of Hopkinsville concealed items in a backpack and walked out of the Dollar General and a computer check showed he had been previously given a trespass warning to stay away.

Wilson was located walking on West Second at Riverfront Drive and a search of his person allegedly revealed methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana.

He was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, possession of meth and possession of synthetic drugs.
