Man arrested for allegedly stealing pickup

A Hopkinsville man was arrested Saturday afternoon after he allegedly stole a woman’s pickup and drove away on Sheena Avenue.

An arrest citation for 37-year old Michael Ray Suttle says he took the victim’s truck without her permission and officers located him nearby. He reportedly turned onto Ashley Court and stopped in a vacant lot when he saw officers activate lights and siren.

Suttle quickly exited the truck on foot and initially refused to stop before eventually complying with commands.

The report says he admitted to taking the truck without permission and a computer check showed his license suspended for a DUI. Police say he also had an open bottle of whiskey in the pickup at the time of his arrest.

Suttle was charged with felony auto theft, driving on a DUI suspended license and possession of an open alcohol container.
