Christian County had representation in the Inauguration Parade of Governor Andy Beshear Tuesday, and a local veteran was honored with a place in the delegation.
Hopkinsville native World War II veteran Elwood Richardson was riding in the unit, which was driven by Hopkinsville Christian County Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Brooke Jung. Korean War veteran Jim Etheridge also joined in the parade. Christian County Judge Executive Steve Tribble says the delegation is a great representation of the community and the dedication to all the soldiers in Christian County, and serving at Fort Campbell.
Honor Flight Bluegrass Coordinator Lela Hale says, “I am so excited for our veterans to be recognized like this. In October, we went to D.C. for the Honor Flight and had a great time. This is such a great opportunity to thank one of our incredible local heroes.”
