Clarksville police arrested a man Wednesday accused of using a dating app to lure a man to a home to be robbed.
The 28-year old male victim from Georgia told Clarksville police he met a man online and set up a time and place to meet. When they met inside the home, the victim set his phone down and that’s when 30-year old Teyron Bland allegedly grabbed it and told him he wouldn’t get it back without handing over cash.
The victim chose to leave without his phone, but said Bland chased him outside and grabbed his steering wheel. The Georgia man handed Bland $45 and he got his phone back and left the area.
Police say the victim was able to identify Bland as the suspect in a photo lineup.
Bland was charged with robbery and lodged in the Montgomery County Jail.
