The Ohio Valley League released its 2020 schedule early this morning. Play will begin on Friday May 29th with the defending OVL champion Hoptown Hoppers hosting the Fulton Railroaders. The Hoppers will open on the road the following night at Fulton.
Just like this past season with being nine teams in the league, there will be one team that has a day off. Also, Mondays will be off days unless the days are needed to play rained out games.
The OVL playoffs will begin with the East Division 4-5 play in game on July 23rd and conclude August 2nd.
One notable change this year is start times. Hoptown will be one of six teams that will play home games beginning at 6:30 with Franklin, Fulton and Muhlenberg County playing at 7:05. Seven teams will play Sunday games at 6 pm with Dubois County playing at 6:30 Eastern time and Muhlenberg County at 7 pm.
The Hoppers are scheduled to play in 2020 at Christian County High School.
