Crofton man arrested in Guthrie for meth trafficking, gun charge

A traffic stop early Saturday morning in Guthrie led to the arrest of a Crofton man for methamphetamine trafficking.

Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy Mitch Frazer stopped 34-year old Michael Willard of Crofton for disregarding a stop sign and not using a turn signal a few minutes before 1 a.m., according to an arrest citation, which says a K9 alerted on Willard’s car.

A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed two clear plastic baggies of meth, a handgun and a jar of suspected marijuana.

A computer check showed Willard was a convicted felon.

He was arrested for trafficking in meth, possession of meth, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, tampering with evidence, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, disregarding a stop sign and failure to use turn signal.

Guthrie Police officer Brock Sawyer assisted in the investigation.
