Several area players are on the Naismith Award Preseason Watch List announced today. Kentucky’s Ashton Hagans and Tyrese Maxey are among 50 players being considered for the award, presented to the national player of the year by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. Also on the Naismith Award watch list are Western Kentucky sophomore Charles Bassey and Louisville’s Jordan Nwora.
