Hoptown Half and 5k committee donates $1,000 to Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The committee behind the successful Hoptown Half-Marathon and 5K have donated a portion of the proceeds raised by the race to the Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

According to a news release, members of the Hoptown Half Marathon & 5K committee donated $1,000 to the cause that it is dedication to funding research in the hope of one day finding a cure to Alzheimer’s.  To accommodate the Hoptown Half & 5K event date, the Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s agreed to move its own Walk date one day later, paving the way for a successful weekend for both groups.
