Three teenagers were charged with especially aggravated robbery following an incident over the weekend in Clarksville.
The juveniles—ages 14, 16 and 17—set up a meeting with a 14-year old to purchase vape cartridges at a cost of $60, according to Clarksville police.
During the money exchange, a physical confrontation ensued and a firearm was discharged and the 14 year old victim was struck in the hip area. Police say the victim was treated and released from Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Investigation determined the suspects had all traveled together in a vehicle to meet with the 14 year old for the vape cartridge purchase. The teenagers receiving the cartridges were reportedly aware that one of them was in possession of a firearm and they intended to take the cartridges without paying.
