MLB: World Series Game Six tonight

After a travel day, the World Series resumes tonight in Houston as the Astros host the Washington Nationals in Game Six. Justin Verlander will start for Houston and Stephen Strasburg for Washington. The home team has lost all five games thus far, with the Astros leading the series three games to two. If Game Seven is needed, it would take place tomorrow night.

The Philadelphia Phillies introduced new manager Joe Girardi on Monday. Girardi takes over for Gabe Kapler, who was fired after two seasons. The Phillies missed the playoffs this year at 81-and-81.

David Ross is ready to be the new manager of the Chicago Cubs. The former catcher was formally introduced yesterday as the replacement for Joe Maddon. It’s the first managerial gig for Ross, who received a three-year deal. The 42-year-old retired as a player after the Cubs won the World Series in 2016.
