Two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in front of Christian County High School on Glass Avenue.
A report from Hopkinsville police says 23-year old Adrieonna Earthman of Indianapolis had been eastbound toward North Main Street at a high rate of speed at about 5:45 p.m. when she exited the right side of the roadway. Her car struck a ditch and chain link fence before overturning and coming to rest on its tires.
Earthman and her passenger, 18-year old John Vause of Hopkinsville, were both ejected.
Earthman was flown by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with life-threatening injuries and Vause was transported by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with less severe injuries.
Neither occupant of the car was wearing a seat belt and alcohol is not suspected as a factor, according to the report.
