A local man was arrested on burglary and theft charges following an investigation Sunday by Hopkinsville police.
An arrest citation for 30-year old Robert Steele was ordered to stay away from the East Seventh Street Dollar General on Friday of last week, but he returned Sunday and was confronted by a manager as he allegedly tried to leave with $200 worth of stolen property.
Steele ran toward Moores Drive and was located at a Spring Street home. He was charged with third-degree burglary and served with a warrant for theft.
