A man sought by the Stewart County Sheriff’s Department for attempted murder following a domestic assault Friday was arrested Sunday in Montgomery County.
The Stewart County Sheriff’s Office says 36-year old Thomas Reynolds is charged with second-degree attempted murder, domestic assault, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a felon.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says a clerk at the Dollar General store on Dover Road called 911 Sunday afternoon after observing Reynolds purchase a wig, clothing, food and hygiene products. Shortly after that, a homeowner in the area called 911 after noticing a suspicious man running in a wooded area behind their house.
Reynolds was arrested about 1 p.m. on Butts Road.
He was booked in the Stewart County Jail on a $127,500 bond.
