The local Pink Ribbon Network that supports local women suffering from breast cancer and other medical ailments received about $5,800 in donations Saturday at Herb Hays Furniture.
Lee Ann Naghtin of Herb Hays Furniture presented $5,089 collected through the sales of Ashley Furniture and through raffles and in-store fundraising. She says helping the Pink Ribbon Network is a cause they are passionate about.
Kathy Anderson is a founder of the local Pink Ribbon Network organization and says they’ve been able to use donated funds to help people in a number of ways over the years.
The local Board of Realtors donated $500 of the money they won at the chili cookoff to the Pink Ribbon Network and DJ’s Famous Lemonade made a presentation of a $100 check.
