Kentucky’s September unemployment rate was unchanged from August.
The state’s seasonally adjusted preliminary September unemployment rate was 4.4 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics. That was the same as the number reported in August.
That was up a tenth of a percentage point from the 4.3 percent recorded for the state in September of last year.
The U.S. jobless rate for September was 3.5 percent, down two-tenths of a percentage point from August, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
