Preds rally to beat Caps

The Nashville Predators piled up four goals in the third period as they stunned the Washington Capitals 6-5 at Bridgestone Arena. Nick Bonino scored the tying goal with 5:08 left to play, and Mattias Ekholm put the Preds ahead for good 28 seconds later. Preds coach Peter Laviolette comments on the win:

Ryan Johansen scored twice for Nashville and Pekka Rinne posted 21 saves. Nashville is now 3-1 on the season and is back in action tomorrow afternoon in the first of a three game road trip at the Los Angeles Kings.
