Challenge House #2 welcomes a new ambassador

Challenge House #2—located on Bryan Street in Hopkinsville—is the next Challenge House to open its door to a new ambassador, who happens to already have a family connection to the organization.

Tiara Smith, along with her daughter, will live in the home and act as ambassadors to the surrounding community, who she says has already been very welcoming to her family.  She says she’s excited to get started and has plenty of ideas in mind, including starting after-school tutoring and offering assistance to area mothers.

Smith says the ground was already set for her through her great-grandmother—Mary Smith, who played an active role in establishing Challenge House in the city and was a spiritual leader in the community.  She says that she has a lot of love in her heart, and is ready to bring it to those in need.

Challenge House Board Chair Penny Chewning says Smith’s enthusiasm is contagious and the board is thrilled to have so many driven, passionate people becoming ambassadors.

Neighborhood Ambassadors are people who live in a Challenge House and assist in the outreach to that particular neighborhood and from there the city as a whole, with a variety of events and programs.  Smith is already bringing energy to the home she’s lived in for only a week so far, and Challenge House intends to announce two more ambassadors in the near future.
