Details released on Parkway accident

Details have been released on a single-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon on the Pennyrile Parkway that sent an Indiana woman to a Nashville hospital.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department investigated and determined 31-year old Christina Herp of Troy, Indiana was southbound near the 14 mile-marker when she drifted off the left shoulder.

As Herp attempted to steer back onto the roadway, she over-corrected and lost control, causing her pickup to overturn multiple times.

The vehicle came to rest upright and Herp was flown by Air Evac to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries.
