The Walmart Distribution Center will soon be hiring about 85 new employees and they’ll have a hiring event where interested individuals can apply next week.
Company officials say they’ll hire 80 people to fill full-time positions such as order-fillers and other key roles and another five people will be hired as truck drivers to support the Walmart Distribution Center on Crenshaw Boulevard.
The Hopkinsville distribution center serves 112 Walmart stores throughout the region. Wages for full-time hourly associates start at $16.75 per hour and can reach more than $18.60 an hour based on work area, shift and schedule.
The jobs come with health insurance and other benefits.
Interested applicants can attend the hiring event on Tuesday from 2 until 7 pm at the distribution center.
Attendees will learn details on Walmart’s supply chain network, jobs available, benefits, the application process and have an opportunity to meet one on one with the management team. Applicants can also apply for roles at careers.walmart.com.
