Planter’s Bank Season of Giving fundraiser underway

Planter’s Bank has kicked off its Season of Giving fundraiser to benefit several local agencies and the effort is underway until December 31.

Kim Graham and Sarah Whitaker appeared on WHOP Friday and Graham says each branch has picked a different agency, including the United Way, the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library and the Dyslexia Association.

Whitaker says that people can choose to open a savings account at Planter’s Bank and they can donate $25 to the cause at that time.

The organizations will also be featured on the bank’s Facebook page, where they could receive a $750 donation thanks to how many likes, shares or retweets of the post they receive.  Along with the social media fundraising, Planter’s Bank has also partnered with Barkley Hills Honey to offer cinnamon spice whipped honey alongside Continental Mills Krusteaz southern cornbread.

Participants can support their non-profit by purchasing the set for $10, and then Planters Bank will donate $10 for every set purchased.  Follow along on Planter’s Bank Facebook and Twitter pages to participate in the endeavor and for more information.
