Madisonville won the 2nd region Girls championship contested Monday at Central City Country Club. The Lady Maroons had a 328 team total. Hopkinsville was seventh with a 395 team score and was led by Cate Blane with 89.
University Heights tallied a 428 team score which was good for ninth place. The Lady Blazers were led by Rheagan and Conlee Lindsey, who each scored 96.
Christian County had just two players with Hannah Sumner shooting 83, which placed her among seven individuals not on the winning team that will compete in next week’s KHSAA State Tournament in Bowling Green.
