A Hopkinsville woman is facing charges of wanton endangerment, third-offense DUI and more after she was allegedly driving under the influence in the area of East Ninth Street Friday night.

According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy observed a vehicle operated by 35-year old Amber Robertson of Hopkinsville turn from Skyline Drive onto East Ninth, allegedly traveling into the westbound lanes before overcorrecting and hitting a concrete curb.  The collision reported caused a tire to blow out.

Upon contact with Robertson, she allegedly had a strong odor of alcohol on her person, along with having slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and was unsteady on her feet.  She reportedly performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested and taken to the Christian County Jail. There was reportedly a passenger in the vehicle that was not wearing a seatbelt.

Robertson is charged with second-degree wanton endangerment, third-offense DUI, reckless driving, second-offense driving on a suspended license and multiple traffic violations.
