Lewisburg man arrested for meth trafficking charge

A Lewisburg man was arrested Friday for trafficking in methamphetamine.

Agents assigned to the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force made contact with 45-year old William Brent Hightower at a location on Highland Lick Road and served him with an active arrest warrant.

A search of his person allegedly revealed methamphetamine and a significant amount of cash.

A search warrant was obtained for Hightower’s home and police say they found 35 grams of meth and numerous items of drug paraphernalia commonly associated with trafficking.

Hightower was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
