Veteran with no surviving family to be laid to rest Tuesday at veterans cemetery

A veteran with no surviving family will be laid to rest next week at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

There will be graveside services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West for 68-year old Curtis Cooper of Cadiz.

Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and says Cooper was a veteran of the United States Air Force, trained as a fuels specialist and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. After his discharge, he worked as an electrician for several years.

He had two special friends listed as survivors on his obituary, but did not have any family.

Anyone wanting to show their appreciation for Cooper’s military service is encouraged to attend Tuesday and members of the Fallen Saints motorcycle group have already put out a call for attendance.
