A pair of upsets started off the Ohio Valley League playoffs on Monday night.
In Hendersonville, Tenn., the sixth seed Fulton Railroaders stunned third seed Full County 3-2. The two teams will battle again tonight at Fulton at 6:30 p.m. A Railroaders’ win would send them into a Friday night matchup with Hoptown. A loss tonight and the two teams will head back to Hendersonville on Wednesday.
Meanwhile in Paducah, the fifth-seeded Madisonville Miners routed the Chiefs 13-3 in seven innings. The two teams will head to Madisonville tonight. A Miners’ win would send them to Henderson Friday night. A Chiefs’ win would send the series back to Paducah on Wednesday.
The semifinal series are scheduled to start Friday.
